How my students can access the lab?

The Robotics and Autonomy Lab and its equipment are available only for Maryland Robotics Canter faculty and their students.

For Students:

How can I use all of this equipment?

First, follow the steps on the Join page to register as a user and sign up for an orientation. Once you attended the orientation, you can contact the lab manager (Ivan Penskiy, ipenskiy@umd.edu) to schedule training on the equipment you'd like to use. Read the equipment's SOP before the training.

What are the fees for equipment use?

Currently, all robotics and inspection equipment in the Robotics and Autonomy Lab is offered at no charge. The manufacturing equipment has a small surcharge to help offset the maintenance costs.

Can users outside the university use this equipment?

Currently, you need to be collaborating with somebody in the Maryland Robotics Center to make use of the Robotics and Autonomy Lab.
